I like so many others have been fighting off the winter illnesses, chills and general blahs. Just how are we doing this you might say to yourself? I did a make over in our lower level with the help of a few of my contractors. We turned it into a Teen Room, that any mom and dad can still enjoy. It’s now my favorite place to be in my house, except snuggled under my electric blanket!
We started off by repainting the walls Revere Pewter Benjamin Moore HC-‐172 on the three walls, then I matched the Navy color in the damask print on the new drapes to paint the accent wall. To save on budget, we ordered 3 window treatment panels and had my work room cut one panel in half to add to each whole panel. I then asked her to add a hot pink grosgrain ribbon down to cover the new seam.
I then moved a black cabinet in to place to the left of the entertainment console. I had Repinned create the hot pink dresser to the right of the entertainment center. They also created the 37 inch round table with the chevron top and two game table and chair set, which we all love playing games at!
I ordered the reclining sectional from Homemaker’s. Yes, you heard me right I said reclining sectional. I NEVER thought I would have a recliner in my house again, never say never. This sectional has a power recliner and a USB charger in the console. The straight part has a queen sleeper inside for those slumber party where no one ever slumbers. It is a big hit!
I also ordered a foosball table for some ‘staycation’ fun. I have not won a game yet, but my arms are getting a nice work out. The girls like playing games for who has to do dishes or vacuum and it’s highly entertaining.
For the final pops of color I purchased some white frames. I selected some fun wallpaper samples and framed them. You know I am all about accent pillows, so I saved the best for last! My favorite pillow is the one that say’s “I didn’t do it”! The other pillows I had made and found all over. Love all the bright colors. It makes me so happy to be in the space.
