Happy Cinco de Mayo! It isn’t too often that you see spanish inspired homes in Des Moines, Iowa but we are so fortunate to be working with one of those unique homes and are about to start a bathroom remodel in their beautiful casa! We wanted to incorporate some of the spanish details into the new bathroom and one of the best ways to do this was using a spanish inspired tile. Daltile has the most amazing options of tile and we found one that fit perfect pulling in some spanish elements, yet keeping a classic look.
Tile is big in Spanish decor and an easy way to define a spanish inspired home. Other ways to incorporate Spanish style into your home is by using bright vivid splashes of color against neutral backgrounds. Using natural or plaster walls, terracotta floor tiles and woven rugs, arches for doorways or arches anywhere they can be incorporated, dark finishes on the wood used within your home, and wrought iron lighting.
